Q1:If the parents refuse the face to face service, does it mean telehealth will continue?



Q2:.What can we do if the child does not have interest in toys at home?

A:Try different types of toys? 


Q3:I would like to hear more information about the online resources we can adopt during teletherapy sessions, and also technology support for remote working, such as the scan app on the phone Michael just mentioned.








Q4:In the session note, for the blank of "Parent/Caregiver Signature", we need to put "telehealth session". Do we need to fill the date which is next to the "parent signature" or leave it blank?


A: You can leave it blank, since you will have signature and date on your service log


Q: Can telehealth sessions be made up?

A: Yes. However, you can not make up for in-person service.


Q6:Is it okay just to text/email the case manager FAD or we must fill out and submit the FAD form?

A: You need to fill out and submit the FAD to the Case Manager 


Q7: Are you going to have ABA training in Summer?

A: Yes, we are preparing and scheduling the ABA training soon.


Q8: Who should I send an email for updated insurance,medical and training hours?

Q9: When are we allowed to start in-person service?

A: 7/6/2020 as long as we have a consent form signed by the parent  


Q10: Who should I talk to if a parent wants a service?

A: Service coordinator on the case. 



Q11:If therapists go on vacation for one week, do we have to fill up the "vocation notification form" and "gap in service form"?


A: Yes


Q12: If I don’t have DOH approval, I don't need the originals, HD has them. Is it fine? 

A:Yes, however, please always keep a copy for yourself.


Q13:Are you going to open the center for the ABA group soon? That's one of the parent's questions from my kid.

 A: Yes, we will follow the guidelines from EI and NYC to make sure all the students and staff are safe in our center. Base on the recent information from city, the planned date will be 07/20


Q14:SC will contact all the clients, both who are in telehealth and who did not want to do telehealth, right?

A:Yes, SC will contact all the clients to let them know the updates of EI announcements. And also Please let the parents contact SC and let SC know that they are interested in group service.


Q15: If I can service a child in a hybrid approach, which means conduct some sessions in person and some virtually? 

Yes, a provider can conduct some sessions in person and some with telehealth.  Both consent for in person and teletherapy MUST be signed for this to happen


Q16: Who is going to obtain in-person consent form from parents?

A:Should be the SC


Q17:Can I let the parents sign the service log monthly?

Service logs need to be signed on a weekly basis. When the parent receives the weekly log they can sign for all the sessions and write in the date they are signing – which will be the same day for all the sessions.


If the parent does not sign weekly, the provider should document all efforts to have that done. 


Q18: Can I provide Telehealth Without a Consent Form?

A:  No. A consent to use telehealth signed by the parent must be obtained prior to starting Telehealth


Q19: A new authorization for OT or PT was processed, can the previous prescription be able to be used?

A.If the family is not able to see their doctor and it is documented, according to Medicaid regulations the prescription is good for a year


Q20:Can I split 10X60 ABA services at different times of the day?

A.Yes. You must do a continuous 60 minutes at different times. Example. 9-10 AM for one hour and 3-4 PM for the other hour
